Our dental services

As an elective & private dental practice (SVS & KFA), we specialize in temporomandibular joint diagnostics & therapy and offer the entire spectrum of modern dentistry.

Healthy teeth, relaxed jaws, holistic wellbeing — it all starts with us.

In our dental practice in the 18th district, we offer you the entire spectrum of modern dentistry — from professional teeth cleaning to aesthetic dental treatment, tooth preservation and dentures. Our specialty is temporomandibular joint therapy (CMD).

In our practice, we follow a gnathological treatment approach — this means: We not only look at individual teeth, but also the function and movement of the entire chewing and temporomandibular joint system. As a gnathologist, Dr. Deepti Garg specializes in harmonizing bite position, chewing movement and joint position.

Consider the connections between tooth position, bite and your symptoms such as migraine, tension or tinnitus. Using well-founded diagnostics with a holistic view of your health, we ensure a stable bite position, healthy teeth and a better quality of life.

Whether children, adolescents or adults — we take our time and treat them sensitively and individually. We also offer braces and splint treatments.

Together, we'll find the best way to your healthy, natural smile.

TMJ diagnostics & therapy (CMD diagnostics)

TMJ problems such as cracking, jaw pain, neck tension, restricted mouth opening or grinding of teeth can be signs of a so-called craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD).

This is a malfunctioning in combination with temporomandibular joints, chewing muscles and teeth — often with effects on the entire body.

Our practice specializes in holistic diagnosis and treatment of CMD and uses the latest procedures for this purpose:

The Brux checker is a special film that is worn overnight and makes it visible where and how hard you are pressing or grinding your teeth. The pattern helps to identify incorrect contacts and uneven loads in the bite.

With a occlusogram The distribution of chewing forces on the teeth is documented — i.e. how your teeth actually meet when you bite. This analysis is crucial for the functional adjustment of splints or dentures.

Die facial arch measurement Transmits the exact position of your upper jaw to a special device (articulator) that can simulate your individual jaw movements. In this way, malpositions can be identified and individual treatment plans can be developed.

For a precise assessment of temporomandibular joint movement, we use condylography and axiography procedure (temporomandibular joint measurement) a — digital measurement methods used by Movement of the temporomandibular joint heads (condyles) Analyze with millimetre precision and have functional disorders diagnosed precisely.

Based on this detailed functional analysis, we develop a tailor-made treatment concept — usually consisting of an individual bite splint, targeted orthodontic measures or prosthetic corrections.
The aim is to restore the natural balance in the jaw, alleviate complaints and prevent long-term damage to teeth and joints. For a better quality of life and a healthy jaw balance.

Orthodontics & Braces

A harmonious position of teeth and jaws is crucial — not only for a beautiful smile, but also for the function of temporomandibular joints, chewing muscles and spine. In our practice, we offer modern orthodontic treatments for children, adolescents and adults — including visible braces and invisible splint systems such as aligner therapy.

What makes our orthodontic treatment special is the holistic and functional treatment approach, which includes the temporomandibular joint (CMD) in planning. Before braces are even recommended, a thorough initial examination is carried out, which consists of several steps:

Initial consultation & initial examination
We take the time to discuss your complaints, wishes and previous findings and to make initial clinical observations on tooth and jaw position.

Referral to an MRI (temporomandibular joint)
In order to be able to assess the exact position of the temporomandibular discs (discus), you will receive a referral to an MRI, which provides precise imaging information about the function and structure of your temporomandibular joints.

MRI meeting & plan meeting
As soon as the MRI results are available, we will discuss them in detail with you — together with the findings from clinical and functional analysis (including facial arch, bite register and occlusion test). Based on this, we create an individual treatment plan that takes into account both aesthetic and functional aspects.

Whether with fixed braces, aligner therapy or a combination with functional splint therapy — the aim is always a pain-free bite, healthy jaw function and permanently stable treatment results.

Crunch & bite splints

Nocturnal grinding or squeezing of teeth — medically as bruxism called — is widely used today. Many people don't even notice that they are affected until the first symptoms occur: jaw pain, neck tension, headaches, tooth enamel abrasions or even tooth loosening. Bruxism is not a “bad habit,” but is usually the result of stress, malpositions in the bite or a disorder in the temporomandibular joint (CMD).

For diagnosis, we use, among other things, the Brux checker, a special film that is worn at night and uses abrasion patterns to show where and how much crunching or pressing is taking place. In addition, a functional bite analysis is carried out, a occlusogram eine Remote X-ray analysis to assess jaw conditions and, if necessary, an MRI-based examination of the temporomandibular joints.

Based on this analysis, an individually adapted bite splint (also “crunching splint”) is manufactured. It is made of transparent plastic, is worn at night and has several functions:

- It protects teeth from further wear
- It relieves the temporomandibular joints and chewing muscles
- It helps to reduce tension in the head and neck area
- It can stabilize jaw statics in the long term and alleviate symptoms

In more complex cases, there is also a controlled lower jaw reposition, In which the lower jaw position is specifically corrected using special splints and diagnostic procedures — for lasting relief of the temporomandibular joint and a functionally stable bite position.

In many cases, splint therapy is an important part of holistic CMD treatment, often in combination with orthodontic or prosthetic measures.

Prophylaxis & oral hygiene

Good oral health starts with consistent prevention. In our practice, she plays professional oral hygiene a central role in effectively preventing gingivitis, tooth decay, tartar and periodontal disease.

During the treatment, deposits, stains and bacteria are thoroughly removed — even from hard-to-reach areas that you cannot completely reach at home with a toothbrush, etc.

We recommend at least every 6 months to come to professional teeth cleaning in order to maintain healthy teeth and stable gums in the long term. If there is an increased risk — e.g. due to periodontal disease predisposition, implants or orthodontic treatment — a shorter interval may be useful.

As part of oral hygiene, our team will also provide you with individual Home dental care tips: e.g. the right brushing technique, choosing the right toothbrush, using dental floss or interdental brushes. The aim is not only to create cleaner teeth in the short term, but also to stabilize your dental health in the long term.

Tooth preservation

Maintaining your natural teeth is a top priority in our practice. With modern, gentle treatment methods, we ensure that your teeth remain functional, aesthetic and healthy in the long term. It is particularly important to diagnose tooth decay or cracks early before major damage occurs.

As part of tooth preservation, we use high-quality plastic fillings (composite fillings), which match the color perfectly to the tooth and are firmly anchored in the tooth structure. This minimally invasive filling technology allows small to medium-sized defects to be repaired without using any metal. Old or leaky amalgam fillings can also be replaced with modern materials.

Functional analysis also plays a central role: Each tooth interacts with the bite and the temporomandibular joint. That is why occlusal aspects — i.e. how your teeth meet when chewing — are also included in individual treatment.

Our goal is to keep your natural teeth as long as possible — pain-free, aesthetically appealing and in functional balance.

Dentures & Prosthodontics

Our practice focuses on individually restoring the shape, function and aesthetics of your teeth — regardless of whether it is the replacement of individual teeth, entire rows of teeth or the aesthetic treatment of severely damaged teeth. With the help of modern prosthetic procedures and high-quality materials, we provide long-lasting, tailor-made and natural-looking solutions.

crowns are used when a tooth is severely damaged or has been filled over a large area. They completely “crown” the tooth and give it new stability and shape.

implants are artificial tooth roots that are inserted into the jawbone and serve as a basis for crowns, bridges or prostheses — a particularly strong, sustainable and aesthetic solution for tooth loss.

prostheses replace several or all missing teeth. We offer both partial and full dentures — classic or implant-supported, depending on requirements and situation.

Inlays, onlays, and overlays are high-quality indirect fillings that are manufactured in the laboratory and fitted precisely into the tooth. While inlays sit inside the chewing surface, onlays also cover part of the tooth humps. Overlays go even further and enclose larger parts of the tooth — ideal for more extensive defects.

Veneers are wafer-thin ceramic dishes that are glued to the front of the front teeth to aesthetically correct discoloration, minor misalignments or shape irregularities.

All our prosthetic treatments are functionally precisely adjusted — including the bite position, temporomandibular joint and chewing movement. The aim is a result that not only looks good, but also feels natural and lasts over the long term.

Aesthetic dentistry

A beautiful smile not only has an aesthetic effect — it also strengthens self-confidence and conveys vitality and health. In our practice, we offer you various aesthetic dentistry options to gently and naturally optimize the shape, color and position of your teeth.

Veneers are wafer-thin ceramic dishes that are permanently glued to the front teeth. They are ideal for correcting stains, broken edges, small gaps or slight misalignments — for an even, harmonious smile.

Teeth whitening (bleaching): With professional in-office bleaching or individual home whitening splints, we can visibly whiten your teeth without damaging tooth enamel or gums. We would be happy to advise you which method is right for you.

Aesthetic composite fillings: For minor defects or when replacing old amalgam fillings, we use high-quality, tooth-colored plastic fillings (composites) that adapt almost invisibly to your natural tooth color and are stable and durable at the same time.

Tooth shape correction: We can gently smooth out slight irregularities in the shape of the tooth using minimally invasive methods such as composite structures or tooth contouring — without grinding the tooth.

For us, aesthetic dentistry always means maintaining function and naturalness. That is why every measure is planned individually, tailored to your tooth position, your facial profile and your personal wishes. The result: a smile that not only looks good but also feels right all around.
